Why we are here...

Our predictive analytics tool was developed in response to a concerning trend in university graduation rates. By analyzing student data between 2011 and 2016, we found that 61.6% of students successfully graduated. However, in more recent cohorts beginning between 2017 and 2020, that rate dropped to 52.8%—a decline that has persisted through 2023. Recognizing the financial and social impacts of this trend on institutions and students alike, we designed a tool that pinpoints students at the highest risk of attrition. Our solution not only identifies these students but also analyzes the root causes behind their struggles, whether academic, financial, or personal. With these insights, the tool enables universities to craft targeted communication and support plans, proactively reducing attrition and improving student success. This strategic approach allows universities to make timely, data-informed interventions, ultimately leading to stronger retention and graduation outcomes.

Why did we create this tool?

Over the years, we’ve heard from countless higher education professionals about the growing challenge of retaining students—a critical issue as first-year enrollments decline and admission standards relax. While we have always excelled at helping institutions attract the right students, it has become increasingly clear that identifying at-risk students early, implementing effective intervention strategies, and supporting them through graduation are essential for both student success and institutional sustainability.
